How to use Prairie Clean Litter
Eco-friendly, non-clumping litter made from Canadian flax straw
Getting started
Start with 1-2” of Prairie Clean Litter underneath your old litter. Do not add the whole bag at once. Gradually use more of our pellets and less of the old stuff as your cat gets comfortable.
Handling pee
Don’t stir pellets or try to remove wet areas. Prairie Clean Litter is non-clumping – let the pellets naturally absorb urine and trap ammonia.
Dealing with poop
Gently scoop out solid waste and smooth the remaining pellets into an even layer.
Disposing of used litter
Once you notice a faint urine smell, empty and clean the entire litter box, then fill it again. Prairie Clean Litter is compostable where permitted.

How our pellets work
The bottom pellets turn into a soft, fibrous material as they absorb urine and trap ammonia. This eco-friendly material is compostable (where permitted), biodegradable, and easy to manage.
